A Diamond Cleaning Service for everyone

2008 was the year when Mr Valeri Angelov, the founder and first technician at Diamond Carpet Cleaning, bought his first cleaning machine from Prochem in Chessington. It was brand new: not making compromises on quality and technology is the cornerstone of our business. That was one small step for man and a serious dent in the budget.

Carpets are challenging to tackle, especially if they haven't been regularly cleaned: we found that out the hard way. Building on that, we also moved into treating, cleaning and reviving specialist fabrics, namely rugs. That is a whole category which encouraged us to learn and get certified into the dry cleaning, wet and steam (or hot water extraction) methods.

You have the fitted carpets, which may or may not be Axminster, wool, rubber - Bolon, to be precise - dry clean only or synthetic. And then you have loose rugs which are in a category of their own (natural or synthetic, antique or all rounders). We knew how to deep clean them as the feedback score we were getting from our clients was a constant 5 out of 5. The big challenge came from the upholstery and curtains cleaning trade, and we specialised in that particular area for the following years. There is always something new to learn in our industry.

The three major pillars of fabric cleaning categories (carpets, rugs, curtains and upholstery) were being studied and put into practice each six days a week. We went further by expanding our coverage area and by investing into machines and tools. Research work started into getting the best chemicals and solutions from reputable businesses. Location did not matter: we looked worldwide on forums and email lists to get the best there is in the cleaning trade.

During this period, we started working with an ever growing number of local cleaners, while covering the same areas: North London, Essex and surrounding areas. We went further into cleaning specialist fabrics: all the 13 types of velvet, silk (dry clean and its water cleaning variant), sisal, jute, coir and everything else our clients relied on us to tackle. Also, particular focus was put on dealing with stains (as in: 40 chemicals to deal with the six basic types of stains), fabric protection (other than the discontinued Scotchgard) and neverending research and testing of what our loccal and international connections from the US, Australia, Canada and Japan were bringing to the cleaning market. 2020 is also the year when Mr Valeri registered Diamond Carpet Cleaning Ltd (slightly before the coronavirus lockdown) to serve the local North London and Essex market without any middlemen.

Altough rocky, the 2021-22 period proved that our business (which will never compromise on quality, invest in cleaning products research and technology, and be there for local customers) is more than resilient. Our focus is now on using techology to the benefit of our clients and on going green. And by the way, working without any middlemen proved to be yet another great business decision.
